| Canada has its share of UFO sightings according to the latest (2012) report from Ufology Research. And it would appear that the amount of UFOs spotted in the Canadian skies is increasing, too. In 2011, Canada skies were home to at least 986 reported incidents - sightings of unidentified flying objects that ranged from strange lights to sphere-shaped craft. People were seeing something. The question is really what were they observing in the atmosphere. UFOs are just that: unidentified flying objects. That means sightings of light could be natural phenomena and craft could be remote control, experimental or military aircraft. No one knows for sure (over 10% of the UFO cases remain a mystery), and with many of the Canadian UFO sightings coming from credible sources such as pilots and police officers, one can conclude there is definitely something flying over Canada. |
| A hot spot in Canadian UFO incidents seems to be British Columbia which saw 405 unfamiliar objects flying over its territory. Overall, there were no reports in 2011 of alien contact or abduction, according to the report. There have been some famous UFOs sighted in Canada over the past 40 years. In 1967, UFO contact was purportedly made at Falcon Lake in Manitoba and a UFO crash happened in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia. As far as UFO sightings, Possible spacecraft was observed over Prince George, British Columbia (1969), South Manitoba (1975, 1976), Montreal, Quebec (1990), Ajax, Ontario (2006) and multiple sightings of UFOs in Harbour Mille, Newfoundland (2010). |
